AUTOhebdo meets Grosjean, Ocon and Gasly

Romain Grosjean, Esteban Ocon et Pierre Gasly all three have the task of representing France in F1 This year. Respectively pilots at Haas, Force India and Toro Rosso, the three competitors answered questions from AUTOhebdo.

The three Tricolores were notably invited to express themselves on the new growth of motorsport in France which also finds its national Grand Prix at Paul-Ricard (Var) on June 24 and which sees Renault as an official team progressing in the hierarchy.

“France’s motorsport is clearly in a good phase, comments Romain Grosjean. We are the most represented nation on the 2018 grid, the French Grand Prix returns to Paul-Ricard, Renault is in the fight and is gaining momentum... well, not too much I hope, because we remain rivals on the track! It’s also a good thing to have four races broadcast unencrypted on television. This will allow us to reach a wider audience. »

“The return of the French Grand Prix will really help revive motorsport in our country, confirms Esteban Ocon. In recent years, I have often wondered why we were missing from the calendar, because I couldn't understand. I can't wait to be at Paul-Ricard, I am convinced that the event will arouse the enthusiasm of the public and get people talking about F1 again in France. The French love motor sports, but this locomotive was missing…”

“That seems to be going in the right direction! It’s a great pleasure and very motivating to see the enthusiasm that is growing, particularly around the French Grand Prix. We hope for even more support, that passions will awaken among the general public, because we need it…”, added Pierre Gasly for his part.
