Monaco 2005 – Star Wars

To celebrate the release of the third installment of Star Wars (Revenge of the Sith), the sixth in chronological order, in 2005, Red Bull showed up at the Monaco Grand Prix with a special “Star Wars” livery. On the Rock, David Coulthard and Vitantonio Liuzzi then boarded an RB1 restyled in the colors of the film. In addition, the mechanics also got involved in the game since they wore stormtrooper outfits (the soldiers from the saga. Editor's note) throughout the weekend.

If the party was there during the first days of the meeting, it was not so during the race. Qualified 7th and 12th respectively, David Coulthard and Vitantonio Liuzzi were forced to retire on Sunday.

The following year, Red Bull will continue its collaboration with the big screen by dressing its RB2 in the colors of the Superman Returns film. With a superhero suit, the Scotsman will score the team's first podium in F1 and will even collect his trophy with a cape!

Brazil 2008 – “Wings for Life” edition and end clap for Coulthard

© DPPI

For the last Grand Prix of David Coulthard's career but also to promote the research association on the cure of spinal cord injuries Wings for Life, Red Bull decorated the Scot's RB4 in pale white. As in Monaco three years previously, the special livery did not bring him luck. The driver's race at the 246 starts only lasted one turn as he was hit by Kazuki Nakajima (Williams) in the first round.

Great Britain 2012 – New “Wings for Life” livery

Still promoting the Wings for Life association, Red Bull is arriving at Silverstone with a special livery for Sebastian Vettel and Mark Webber. This time, it's not about white but about photos. During the British Grand Prix, the RB8s were decorated with photos of supporters who had paid £10 (around €12) at the time to be present on the bodywork of the Austrian team's single-seaters. The icing on the cake, Red Bull celebrated a double podium with the victory of Mark Webber and the 3rd place of Sebastian Vettel.

Jérez 2015 – The camouflage livery

For the pre-season tests held on the Jérez circuit, Red Bull arrived with a new livery. Accustomed to the predominant blue and the red and yellow touches, reminiscent of the brand's colors, fans discovered a camouflaged version of the RB11. It had in fact been painted black with lots of white patterns all over the bodywork giving it this masked effect. Although it was a great success with enthusiasts, the camouflage livery was not used during the season, with managers preferring to keep the old one.

Shakedown 2018 – New camouflage

Three years after Jérez, Red Bull carried out the same operation, or almost. The Austrian team lifts the veil on the RB14 in a new camouflage livery directly. The general public then imagines that the Milton Keynes structure will keep this version for the entire season. Nope. Official drivers for the 2018 campaign, Max Verstappen et Daniel Ricciardo will be content with the famous 100 kilometer Shakedown at Silverstone authorized by the regulations before the pre-season tests before the RB14 regains its former color.

The following year, Red Bull, to mark the start of its collaboration with Honda, its new engine manufacturer, presented the RB15 in a special edition (very dark blue and a bull with a design different from the usual) which would only be used to the filming day again.
