Bahrain increases its entry restrictions into its territory in the face of coronavirus

Every day there is a new measure decided in different countries to best stem the spread of the Covid-19 coronavirus.

After Vietnam, which announced that it would quarantine all people arriving from Italy, China, Iran and even South Korea, it is the Kingdom of Bahrain which will toughen the arrival on its territory.

Any foreign person who has visited in the last 14 days China, Iraq, Iran, South Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Thailand and Italy will not, temporarily, be admitted to the territory, as indicated in a note from the British government.

As for Vietnam, this measure, if it were to continue over time, could impact the Italian teams F1, Ferrari et Alpha Tauri, But also Alfa Romeo ou Haas who are working in collaboration with Italian engineers, in preparation for the race on March 22.

Also worth mentioning are Pirelli, the sole manufacturer of the discipline, Brembo (brakes) and Magneti Marelli as potentially affected entities.

The Bahrain Grand Prix, second event of the 2020 championship, remains for the moment maintained on its initial date, while the circuit is currently hosting the FIA ​​pre-season tests F2 and FIA F3.

The FIA ​​also reiterated on Tuesday its position of closely monitoring the situation, in conjunction with the authorities of each country.

The Covid-19 coronavirus, benign in 80% of cases, has infected more than 90 people worldwide, with unfortunately just over 000 deaths to report.
