Barrichello blames Schumacher

Michael Schumacher, controversial during his years Ferrari, is remembered fondly by his detractors, despite the fact that he drives a car that is not capable of helping him win a Grand Prix. The "Kaiser", renowned for his roughness when playing for victory, demonstrated that he could adopt very unsporting behavior, even for the point of tenth place.

Attacked by Rubens Barrichello (Williams), his former “valet” from the Ferrari era, the seven-time World Champion pushed the Brazilian onto the pit exit wall (see video). He had to keep his steering wheel straight as he dangerously approached the wall and rolled to the side of the track. Finally, the wall ended and the Williams driver was able to overtake his former teammate and subsequently let him go (+19”4 at the finish). “ I don?t have much to say, comments Schumi to the BBC. He obviously had better tires than mine, cooler ones. I thought it would move to the other side, where there was more room. He did not do it. I'm not known for giving gifts. Each driver sees things the way he wants. »

Rubens Barrichello does not have the same vision of this overcoming. He is terribly angry with the pilot Mercedes, who could have literally pressed him literally against the wall. “ He made a mistake in the last corner and I was able to get closer to him. What we all want is to be able to fight but with fair play. Fortunately the wall stopped and I was able to move to the right. You have to take a line and stick to your line. Coming out of three years of retirement to do that? We don?t need that. Honestly, this is the most dangerous maneuver I have encountered during my career. Well, he's still going to say that I've always been a crybaby.. »

There is no doubt that the commissioners will not stop there and that a sanction will be imposed in the coming minutes. As for Rubens Barrichello, he expects his supporters to come and tell him on Twitter their feelings about this maneuver...

Update 17:43 p.m.: Schumacher receives a ten-place penalty on the starting grid for the next Grand Prix in Belgium
