Bernie urges France to act

La Formula 1, in 2010, will keep the same calendar as this year but will see two races added: the Canadian Grand Prix, which is making its return, and that of Korea, which will expand the contingent of Asian races. As for the French Grand Prix, it is still absent from the list. And according to Bernie Ecclestone, this situation is due to French officials, who cannot agree on a suitable project.

« It seems difficult to put things in place on the French side, entrusts the representative of the Formula 1 commercial rights holders to Le Parisien. A contract was sent, it has still not returned to me. »

Mister E says he is surprised that the file is not moving forward, France having to face many foreign countries for the organization of a Grand Prix. “ I am told today that we should not hope to see a circuit in the Paris region before 2013. I am also being told about a return to Paul-Ricard. It's a shame, because places on the calendar will become more and more difficult to obtain. »

For France to see Formula 1 return to its territory, the big financier of F1 has only one piece of advice. “ We must act quickly because time is running out. »
