Bianchi: Condition still critical but stable

A few hours later the statements of Jules Bianchi's father in the columns of Gazzetta Dello Sport, the Marussia team, at the request of the family of the 25-year-old French driver, published a new press release on the state of health of its protégé.

“At the request of Jules Bianchi's family, and in collaboration with the Mie General Medical Center in Yokkaïchi, the Marussia team F1 Team is able to provide the following information regarding Jules' health status. The last nine days have been extremely difficult for Jules and his family. Following the accident at Suzuka, a number of medical challenges had to be overcome and the situation remains difficult due to the traumatic injury and diffuse axonal damage suffered by his brain. Jules remains in critical but stable condition in the intensive care unit. The Bianchi family continues to be comforted by the thoughts and prayers of Jules' many fans and the motorsports community. In particular, the many displays of support and affection during the Russian Grand Prix in Sochi which were of enormous comfort to Jules' parents and friends also present at the hospital. The family will provide other medical information as appropriate. »

No developments for the moment therefore, while the Frenchman has been hospitalized for more than nine days in Yokkaïchi in Japan, following his accident during the Japanese Grand Prix.
