Bottas: “I haven’t been able to do it for a while”

Valtteri Bottas admitted to being in difficulty this season with Mercedes. The Finn has two victories this year (in Russia and Austria) and is struggling to finish on the podium.

Nico Rosberg's replacement failed in fifth place last Sunday at the Malaysian GP without having been able to claim a better position at the finish since he finished around twenty seconds behind the Ferrari SF70H Sebastian Vettel part of the last row.

“It could well be the hardest moment of my career in terms of how I feel every time I get behind the wheel of the car. I just want to get good results and develop at a certain level,” admitted Valtteri Bottas.

“I haven't been able to do it for a while for various reasons. There are still a lot of unanswered questions for me and the team. I want to reverse the trend quickly. It won't be good for anyone if I keep doing races like this. The team needs points and I want them too,” added Valtteri Bottas.

Valtteri Bottas is in third place in the Championship, 25 points behind Sebastian Vettel (Ferrari).
