Bottas points out a lack of rhythm
If he led a part of the Portuguese Grand Prix, Valtteri Bottas was unable to compete against Lewis Hamilton. Overtaken by the Englishman on the 20th loop, the Finn then saw how his teammate took off over the laps.
« I just didn't have any rhythm, lamented the pilot Mercedes. I don't understand why but I had no racing rhythm ". A glaring detail since Lewis Hamilton quickly came back on him and overtook him without any difficulty.
What followed was hardly flattering for Valtteri Bottas who crossed the finish line 25 seconds behind the new record holder for victories in F1. " I obviously tried to defend on him but there was nothing to do. I don't know why I didn't have any rhythm. I gave everything I had but I couldn't go any faster ».
Faster than everyone at the start of the weekend, Valtteri Bottas was once again a victim of the supremacy of Lewis Hamilton, the man with 92 victories and 6 - soon 7 - world champion titles. An old habit.
