Bottas: “Not all teammates do that”

Si Valtteri Bottas poses a threat to his teammate in the Championship Lewis Hamilton, this did not prevent the three-time world champion from keeping his word by returning 3rd place to the Finn before the finish line of the Hungarian GP.

Valtteri Bottas let the second driver pass Mercedes so that he can attempt an attack on the Ferrari de Sebastian Vettel and Kimi Räikkönen, the Finn failing to get back on the SF70-H.

“I thank Lewis for keeping his promise, said Valtteri Bottas. Ferrari looked very quick on the supersoft tires, but Sebastian's problem made things interesting. We had radio problems as I tried to get closer to Kimi, but I didn't have the chance to attempt an attack. We then decided to change the positions so that Lewis could also try. »

“I felt a little unlucky losing the rhythme, continued Valtteri Bottas. Not all teammates do that, giving up a place while they are playing for the podium. It's a great team gesture, but it was a weekend where we had to save the furniture. »
