Bottas: “Weird behavior of the clutch at the start”

Valtteri Bottas was unable to convert his superb pole position won yesterday in Barcelona into victory this Sunday at the Spanish Grand Prix, after seeing Lewis Hamilton, his teammate at Mercedes, stealing the show after the lights go out.

The Finn was then unable to do anything during the 66 laps of the event. The former pilot Williams admitted to having had a technical problem during the departure procedure. “I lost everything at the start, commented Bottas after the finish.

There was some strange behavior from the clutch. He was constantly engaging and relaxing, something I had never had before. Of course, a fifth double in a row is incredible as a team. But above all I want to know why the start was so bad. »

Despite this fifth consecutive podium this year, the third after second places in Bahrain and China, Valtteri Bottas cedes control of the world championship to his teammate Lewis Hamilton.
