Boullier puts Mercedes' lead at more than 0"

“We estimate that their lead over the competition is perhaps between five tenths and three quarters of a second. » explains the Frenchman who went to McLaren in the off-season. For our part, we wanted above all to design a reliable car above all. We thought it was the essential element to score big points at the start of the season. We're going to move into very aggressive development. We must catch up on Mercedes but also on other teams which will also be efficient when their engine is also efficient. We must make up for this delay by Barcelona. »

Nico Rosberg finished more than 26″ ahead of the two McLaren-Mercedes of Kevin Magnussen and Jenson Button during the first Grand Prix of the season in Australia.
