Boullier ready to meet Räikkönen

Even if he is happy Rally, Kimi Räikkönen does not seem to have the page definitively Formula 1. After contacting Éric Boullier recently to talk about 2011, it could well be that the Citroën Junior Team driver meets the main team of the diamond team. In any case, this is what the Frenchman would like, in order to measure Iceman?s degree of motivation.

“Obviously, the final decision is getting closer, affirms Éric Boullier to Autosport, confirming what he had confided exclusively to AUTOhebdo.fr last Friday (see here). But we want to consider all the options presented to us. I decided to tell certain pilots that our discussions with them would not continue, but Kimi is still one of the possible scenarios. But I explained many times that I wanted to meet him before doing anything. I want to know more about his motivations regarding this possible comeback. »

A driver duo combining Kimi Räikkönen-Robert Kubica would look great, and would surely allow Renault to take a new step forward. After Spa, Vitaly Petrov was once again the author of a mistake in qualifying last Saturday in Singapore. But the Russian performs well in the race, and his nationality plays in his favor. The 2 GP2009 vice-champion remains a very possible option for 2011. He has four Grands Prix left to convince.
