Boullier: Red Bull put itself in this situation

Éric Boullier, director of McLaren-Honda, supported Ron Dennis, wishing maintain the exclusivity that links the team to the Japanese engine manufacturer. While Red Bull wanted to establish discussions with the Asian brand while desperately looking for a new supplier of Power Units for 2016, the director of the Woking firm had opposed an extension of sales of Japanese engines.

“As a partner, and I will not repeat it, we must agree on the strategies, declares Éric Boullier this week in AUTOhebdo. It's not about Ron saying no and Arai (the sporting director of Honda. Ed.) who says yes. There are no debates to be had. There is a problem at Red Bull, which was created by Red Bull and no one else. We are not a charity and we are not here to help.
