Boullier will reframe his troops after the Indian GP

Lotus F1 Team carried out a superb strategy by betting on a single stop at the Indian Grand Prix by betting on a stop for Romain Grosjean since the Frenchman was able to secure his third consecutive podium after starting from 17th position on the grid. But his race almost ended during a battle with his teammate Kimi Räikkönen who was trying by all means to keep his place on the podium. The Finn finally had to settle for seventh place after being forced to return to the pits to change his tires which were in agony. The resistance of the 2007 world champion also led to a nice argument with Director of Track Operations Alan Permanente.

At the end of the race, Eric Boullier indicated that he would return to this incident with the two drivers. The Team Principal must do everything to keep his team united at a time when the latter is in a position to play for second place in the Manufacturers' Championship against the Ferrari et Mercedes. “They are free to fight among themselves.”, first wanted to remind the director of the stableenstone. “If (Kimi Räikkönen’s) tires hadn’t collapsed, we would have let them compete, that’s normal. But it is true that we perhaps expected a slightly easier maneuver. We are never happy to see our two cars fighting with each other with one going off the track. You just have to make sure they fight in the best interest of the team. I will speak to both before Abu Dhabi. »

If Eric Boullier did not want to directly point the finger at Kimi Räikkönen, he still suggested that he had not appreciated the Finn's behavior on the track. “When you are two seconds off the pace with tires that are in agony, you have to make sure that the two cars in the team finish in the best places. But there is no need to prevent your teammate from bringing in points for the team. »
