Bourdais seeks the right settings

This Friday, the paddock was able to make adjustments to adapt the cars to the characteristics of the Nürburgring circuit. It is the same for Toro Rosso, who, despite two disappointing sessions in terms of timing, managed to find an effective setting for Saturday. What confirms Sébastien Buemi : " Even though our times don't seem great, we did a good job today. We have tested what is necessary and we therefore have a clear vision of the car's capabilities. » The Swiss adds that time will be important for the sessions to come, mentioning his preference. “ Depending on whether it rains or not, we will take this or that direction to be more competitive. I have to say that I hope it rains because I think we are more competitive in these conditions. »

For Sébastien Bourdais, this threatening weather is still a disadvantage, the temperature of the track does not necessarily lead to good performances. “ With low temperatures, our tires have little grip. We made some changes to the settings, especially at the rear, but I don't think we went in the right direction. We had to fight with that, with the wind, with stability in the corners and a strong tailwind which made braking difficult. Seb and I tried two completely different types of settings. But, in fact, we did the same lap times. » First elements of response on the settings of the STR4 - and on the climatic conditions - Saturday from 11 a.m. for the third test session.
