Bourdais ousted by Toro Rosso

Sébastien Bourdais en Formula 1, It's finish. At least at Toro Rosso, since the Italian team announced the departure of the only Frenchman from the field, this Thursday mid-morning. On Wednesday July 8, we announced to you exclusively that Manceau was going to compete, in Germany, his last Grand Prix of the season. If Sébastien Bourdais did not want to comment on this news, the signs were not misleading throughout the race weekend. His agent, Nicolas Todt, was there to negotiate with the leaders of STR the departure of the Frenchman.

Franz Tost, general manager of the team, commented on the departure of Sébastien Bourdais laconically: “ Sébastien's second year with us did not bring what we expected, so we decided to replace him for the next round of the world championship, at the Hungarian Grand Prix. »

It is therefore now official, unlike the name of Bourdais' replacement. If Jaime Alguersuari is best placed to succeed him, Toro Rosso will only make the announcement shortly before the first laps planned at the Hungaroring. Only one thing is certain, after 27 Grands Prix, Sébastien Bourdais leaves the Formula 1 paddocks and France loses its only current driver.
