Brawn: 'It's a difficult moment for Vettel'

Sebastian Vettel is going through a difficult time in his career. While Team Ferrari is still looking to win this season, the four-time world champion has not stood on the top step of the podium since the 2018 Belgian GP.

The ordeal continued at Silverstone last weekend when the four-time world champion crashed into the Red Bull de Max Verstappen while the Dutchman had just taken 3rd place. The German finished at the bottom of the rankings after being penalized.

Ross Brawn analyzed the poor performances of the former world champion who sees his title hopes slip away a little more with each race.

“Vettel couldn't muster a smile, recognized the Motor Sports director of the owners of the F1. Seb seems to be suffering more and more since Canada and his misfortunes have become even more amplified at Silverstone. Unlike Leclerc, he was never comfortable in the car. We could see it in the gaps in qualifying. In the race, he was unable to take full advantage of the safety car. He then made this mistake by hitting the rear of the car of Verstappen. He immediately realized his mistake and quickly apologized to Max after the race. »

“It's a difficult moment for Sebastian because he must feel a little more pressure than usual. He must ask himself which direction he should go as his chances of putting Ferrari back at the forefront fade., added Ross Brawn. Sebastian is an incredible driver, his results prove it, but he must keep calm for the moment and count on the support of his team. There is no better team than Ferrari to support its drivers by giving them lots of positive energy. »

Sebastian Vettel finds himself in 3rd place in the Championship, 13 points behind Max Verstappen, only 3 points ahead of Charles Leclerc.
