Brawn GP thinks about racing

Brawn GP's first mission today was to analyze the behavior of BGP 001 in these hot and humid conditions. “We spent most of the session studying how the car, tires and engine would perform in these conditions,” explained Ross Brawn. “The balance of the car is not yet perfect. For the moment we are not obtaining the same level of performance as in Australia. However, we are optimistic, and by working well tonight, we should find ourselves in a good position for the rest of the weekend. »

Like the leader of the Formula 1 World Championship, Jenson Button, the atmosphere is both studious and serene within Brawn GP. “This day was useful for working on the behavior and balance of the car,” analyzes the Briton. “I easily locked my tires when braking, that was my biggest problem today. We have to look at this closely. We are not yet at the right level, but we are working in the right direction and I am confident we will define the optimal set-up for qualifying. »
