Brawn: “Simplicity will be a key objective”

With the departure of Bernie Ecclestone et the arrival of Ross Brawn as Motor Sports Director of Liberty Media, the new buyers of the F1, the discipline should take a new path. The former team principal shared his plans for the future of the Championship by seeking to erase the flaws that have cooled fans.

“F1 tends to be reactive, admitted Ross Brawn on BBC 5 Live. If there is a problem, she reacts and finds a solution, but she rarely has a 3 to 5 year vision. We know that spectators want close races, spectacle and to understand what is happening. Simplicity will be a key objective. I have followed F1 as a spectator in recent years and it even happened that I did not always fully understand what I was seeing. »

“There are different types of spectators and that's where the complications begin, qualified the Briton. Some go to the race, some follow it on TV and others through different media. We must find a balance between all these demands. »
