Brawn lost the recipe

If, on paper, Jenson Button and Rubens Barrichello are teammates, the atmosphere is not good at Brawn GP. Already disoriented on the evening of the Spanish Grand Prix, Rubens Barrichello understood that Ross Brawn was betting more on the Briton. This time, once again overtaken by Jenson Button following refueling, the Brazilian criticizes his team for its curious strategy, which caused the Brawn to move from 2nd-3rd places to 5th and 6th places. But, beyond this feeling, it is the results of the single-seaters which are worrying.

Slowly, performances decline and Brawn deserts the top places. After a transparent race at Silverstone, where he finished sixth, Jenson Button only managed a fifth place at the Nüburgring and is somewhat stalled at the top of the championship. Behind, the pilots Red Bull are filling up and getting closer little by little. With eight races remaining on the program, the entire paddock is wondering if the team? Brackley may see its lead disappear over the coming weeks.

The Brawn team, and more particularly Jenson Button, seemed unbeatable the day after the Turkish Grand Prix. But since then, the Red Bulls have won twice and other teams have shown that they are returning to the top, such as Ferrari, McLaren ou Renault. Despite his comfortable lead in terms of points, Jenson Button could therefore see his two most serious rivals return, Sebastian Vettel and Mark Webber. First indications next week during the Hungarian Grand Prix, which should be run in the hot weather conditions that the Brawn appreciate.
