Briatore counterattacks

Flavio Briatore had promised that he would not stop there, that he would not disappear so easily from the world of motorsport. Because if his lack of knowledge in mechanical terms was criticized, and in particular by Nelson Piquet Jr, the whimsical Italian had managed to occupy a lot of space in the world of motorsport. A space reduced to nothing by the sanctions taken by the FIA following the affair of the intentional accident of Nelson Piquer Jr at the 2008 Singapore Grand Prix.

Flavio Briatore will therefore file a complaint to have his lifetime ban from the world of motorsport canceled. For this, the former director of Renault F1 Team bases itself on legal considerations, asserting that procedural defects have accumulated during the actions carried out by the FIA. Partial tribunal, non-compliant summons, sanction contrary to European law: Briatore and his lawyers studied the file in the smallest details to render the FIA sanction null and void.

« The FIA used this judgment as a tool of revenge for one man's benefit, Briatore said in a statement. This decision is a legal aberration and I have every confidence that the French courts will be able to resolve the issue in a fair and impartial manner. »
