Buemi continues to progress

It was paradoxically in extreme conditions on Saturday that the team?s drivers Toro Rosso achieved their best result in qualifying. Jaime Alguersuari qualified in 12th position while his teammate Sebastien Buemi climbed into Q3 to take sixth position on the grid.

In the race, even though he complained of a lack of pace at the wheel of his STR4, the Swiss managed to take the checkered flag in seventh position and scored two new points for Toro Rosso. “ The race was very difficult “, however admitted Buemi. “ At the start it wasn't easy because I was sandwiched between Kubica and Rosberg at the first corner and they overtook me. »

« However, our pace was not particularly good. I have mixed feelings because after our performance on Friday I was hoping to finish in the top 5. Now we have to look to Abu Dhabi where we will have to try to take advantage of this result to move forward. »
