Button is unanimous

Some observers may argue that Jenson Button was in the right team, in the right year, and that he benefited from the full support of his team to the detriment of his teammate. But, in the paddock, the drivers - especially the British - and the team bosses are unanimous about the title won by the Brawn GP driver at the end of a season which he knew how to start in the best possible way.

Lewis Hamilton (2008 world champion): “ I am very happy for Jenson. I went down to congratulate him, but also his team and his family. He deserves his world title. He drove superbly, even today (Sunday). He will be able to enjoy it now, because he was very nervous. »

Rubens Barrichello (Brawn GP): “ I am really happy for Jenson, as a friend, because he is a great champion. We have had a wonderful working relationship this year. He deserves it. »

Damon Hill (1996 world champion): “ That's a beautiful story. Jenson is a lovely guy, he?s a world champion playboy with a winning smile. I think everyone is happy for him »

David Coulthard (Red Bull): « Anyone who thinks he doesn't deserve his world champion title should think twice. He has an attacking driving style and has great driving skills. »

Mark Webber (Red Bull) : " Jenson is a consistent driver and, unfortunately for us, he was devilishly fast at the start of the year and got results. Button and Brawn were on top of the pack at the start of the season, they had the best car and made a big splash in the championship. »

Niki Lauda (three-time world champion): “ When someone is world champion, there is nothing to criticize. He did his job perfectly. He drove with perfect aggression in Brazil. »

Sebastian Vettel (Red Bull) : " Congratulations to Brawn and Jenson, they did the best job this year. »

Ross Brawn (Brawn GP): “ Jenson is a fantastic driver and he had a great race, especially after a poor qualifying. He knew what he had to do and he did it wonderfully, because he is a world champion who deserves his title. »

Christian horner (Red Bull) : " Congratulations to Jenson on becoming World Champion, he has been a great contender this year, as well as Team Brawn in the Constructors' Championship. »

Martin Whitmarsh (McLaren): « I would like to extend my congratulations to Jenson, Ross, Nick and the entire Brawn team on winning these two championships. Jenson fully deserves his success, although I would like to point out that Rubens and Sebastian would also be fine champions. »
