Button: Best in the rain

Jenson Button ends his series of poor performances by winning the Hungarian Grand Prix ahead Sebastian Vettel et Fernando Alonso. The pilot McLaren knew how to preserve his tires and not make any mistakes on a wet track where the older riders made mistakes.

“For different reasons, I like to drive in these conditions”, recognizes the winner of the Hungarian GP. “It worked again. The team did a magnificent job by giving me the (soft) tires. This race was great. I thank the team who gave me a car fantastic. Every day of vacation, we will have our minds turned towards Spa. »

Jenson Button adds that he felt more comfortable than his teammate Lewis Hamilton who, despite a series of bad luck at the end of the race, still took fourth place ahead of Mark Webber (Red Bull). “It's easy to say after the race, but I think I managed to preserve the tires better in the first stint. Everyone was struggling with their tires after halfway and I was able to attack. I think I could have taken the advantage over Lewis if the track had remained dry because he was in difficulty at the end of his stint. I love running with him. »
