Button: Qualifying is a priority

After a season-opening victory in Melbourne and a second place in Shanghai, Jenson Button appeared behind in the last two races. If McLaren seems to be partly responsible for these poor performances (Lewis Hamilton complained after the Monaco GP), the 2009 world champion suffers from poor balance on his car since the Spanish Grand Prix where he was only able to take ninth place before collapsing in Monaco with 16th position. The Briton was especially behind during qualifying. His MP4-27 only started from 12th place at the Monaco Grand Prix.

Jenson Button intends to bounce back this week in Montreal where he distinguished himself last year by winning a magnificent victory from the back of the grid. “I still find it hard to believe in this victory where I started from last place halfway through the race to take first place on the last lap. Montreal is always a race I look forward to. It will be important for me to resolve the balance issues that are causing me to suffer in qualifying. I didn't do well in the last two Q2... No matter my speed in the race, you have to compromise because the field is particularly tight at the moment. I want to achieve a better performance in qualifying this weekend in order to have a better race. »
