Button has never seen such motivation

Optimistic, Jenson Button is before beginning the new chapter in the history of McLaren. The 2009 World Champion, who arrived in 2010 within the Woking team, will be one of the two starters with Fernando Alonso at the wheel of the MP4-30 powered by the Honda V6 turbo/hybrid Power Unit, which was revealed today.

“It has been interesting spending time in the factory over the last few weeks: you can really feel a sense of revived and positive optimism around the building. I have never seen such motivation among the guys. We are all keen to get to Jerez and work hard on the development of our new car. But we have no illusions: it will not be easy. There is a huge challenge ahead of us to try and close the gap to our rivals, but we are ready for it. We finished last season with good momentum and clear progress, and I am determined to continue this momentum in 2015.”

The Briton will take the wheel of the new car of Woking next Monday during the Jerez tests in Spain, Fernando Alonso starting this Sunday.

Photos of the new MP4-30 are available here, and the presentation video can be viewed here.
