Button ready to take on the challenge

Jenson Button now holds the cards. If his two rivals for the world title, Rubens Barrichello and Sebastian Vettel, hope to be able to play their best, the Briton has the key. By getting on the podium, and whatever the result of the other drivers, Jenson Button will be world champion. The qualifying session, which takes place from 19 p.m., will therefore be decisive.

Friday, during the first two free practice sessions, the Briton achieved the 7th and 5th times. He is satisfied with his performance and the work done by his team. “ We were able to ride much more than we initially hoped, since there were only a few showers,” confirms the driver of the team Brackley.

Furthermore, Jenson Button is confident in his potential for the weekend, his car being competitive. Only the behavior of his car on soft tires worries him somewhat. “ The car seems to be working well on the hard tires, which is encouraging, and the pace is good. On the other hand, I had to fight to maintain the balance of the car when it was shod with soft tires on a flying lap. »
