Button will favor qualifying at the Spanish GP

Jenson Button is preparing to contest the Spanish GP after a three-week break which allowed the teams to finalize developments. After a missed start to the season by McLaren, the 2009 world champion can hope to benefit from a more efficient MP4-30 in the peloton which would allow him to enter the top ten for the first time this season.

“It’s hard to overtake on this circuit. I will therefore concentrate on my performances in qualifying to climb the hierarchy”, explains the Briton. “We made good progress during the last races and our efforts continued between Bahrain and Spain…”

Jenson Button has not forgotten his disastrous weekend in Bahrain where multiple mechanical problems prevented him from starting. “The most important thing remains reliability, it is the most important element if we want to push our package to its limits in Spain and beyond”, highlighted the teammate of Fernando Alonso.
