Supporters ofAston Martin, the wait is finally over. Starting this Monday, March 3, Adrian Newey officially takes up his new role within the British team, in the Silverstone facilities. The iconic English engineer becomes the main technical partner of Aston Martin, in addition to becoming a shareholder of the team by taking shares in the team. A gift signed Lawrence Stroll, who did everything to lure Adrian Newey into his nets. Despite the sirens of Maranello and Ferrari, the Briton has chosen to stay in the United Kingdom and help the Greens achieve their goal: to win the world title thanks to the new technical regulations, which will be introduced in 2026.

« Everyone is very excited to work with Adrian.”
A highly anticipated arrival at Aston Martin: Adrian Newey will be one of the pillars of the project led by Lawrence Stroll, who is not sparing any resources to go for the title in Formula 1. Between the construction of a new factory in Silverstone with new cutting-edge tools (simulator, wind tunnel) and the recruitment of renowned engineers, including Adrian Newey, the Canadian businessman has brought together all the ingredients to achieve his goals in 2026 and allow Fernando Alonso and Lance Stroll to have a competitive machine.
“His desk is ready, the drawing table is there, said Andy Cowell, Aston Martin Team Principal, during winter testing in Bahrain regarding the arrival of Adrian Newey at Silverstone. Everyone is very excited to work with Adrian. His track record speaks for itself. So we are looking forward to welcoming him on site, as a new employee. It might be a little different. We will start by introducing him to the key technical players in our company, showing him the engineering tools of the car. Then he will get started on creating the car for 2026 and helping to improve the car for 2025. I am sure he will understand the terrain much faster than I did!”
While waiting for the big upheaval of the 2026 regulations, Aston Martin will have to wait a season with the AMR25, which did not really shine during the winter tests in Bahrain. At the Greens, eyes are already fixed on 2026, and Adrian Newey should not dwell too much on the 2025 car this year. The British engineer, who has designed some of the most successful single-seaters in history at Williams, McLaren et Red Bull, will try to reproduce its magic recipe with Aston Martin. See you in 2026 to see if the mayonnaise has taken...

Would they have us believe that he has not already looked into the AMR25 a little without waiting for March 3, 2025, modern means of communication having certainly already given him the opportunity to exchange in complete discretion?
