Askari Zaidi, the spokesperson for Jaypee Sports International (JPSI), promoter of the Indian Grand Prix, returned on the rumors which indicate the disappearance of this event from next season. Indeed, several sources have mentioned major financial difficulties for the organizers. If this year's Grand Prix, which will take place from October 25 to 27, is already fully funded, things would prove much more complicated for the following year.

False, according to the promoter's spokesperson: “Some international media organizations are trying to spread rumors that JPSI will not be able to organize the Indian Grand Prix in 2014. This is completely unfounded and malicious. Our agreement with Formula One Management (FOM) is to host the F1 on the Buddh International Circuit until 2015, and we are fully committed to doing so. There is no reason for us to give up. »

To support his statements, Askari Zaidi even explained that the Indian circuit could develop its activities in the future. “In fact, JPSI is keen to get more international car and motorcycle races at the Buddh track, in addition to F1 and Superbike which will debut on November 17. We are fully committed to promoting motorsports in India”he concluded.
