Canal+ is back for the 2016 and 2017 seasons

Canal + extended its contract with FOM to remain the exclusive broadcaster of the F1 during the next two seasons. The private channel, now headed by businessman Vincent Bolloré, will continue to broadcast the Grand Prix discipline for the 2016 and 2017 seasons.

F1 was broadcast until the end of 2013 on TF1 before the private channel acquired the rights. Canal+ offered varied content by going on air one hour before the start and broadcasting several post-race shows. The Grand Prix are commented by Julien Fébreau and the 1997 world champion Jacques Villeneuve.

The Mexican GP will be broadcast live from 20 p.m. French time on Canal+ Sport.
