Carlos Sainz: “My chance may come”

In the seat exchange game which took place last week in the Red Bull clan, Max Verstappen left the stable Toro Rosso to join the big sister Red Bull Racing in place of the Russian Daniil Kvyat.

If the arrival of the Dutch prodigy was more or less already confirmed at Red Bull, as confided Sebastian Vettel in the Barcelona paddock or Mark Webber at Spa (see Ah n°2062), Carlos Sainz do not despair about the possibility of one day evolving for the Milton Keynes team.

“I don’t have to analyze these choices because it’s not my job to change or modify the engineers and drivers, explains the Spaniard. I have full confidence in what Toro Rosso and Red Bull decide to do and I think it's the best from the team.

As soon as you do a good job, they show you confidence, they give you a chance and now is the time for me to fight more than ever for this. I have, as Dany says, 17 races to give the maximum of myself, to fight as much as I can. I am sure that if I show the same speed as I have now with a little more better results my chance may come. »
