Carmen Jordá becomes Lotus development driver

Alongside Pastor Maldonado, Romain Grosjean and Jolyon Palmer, the Spaniard Carmen Jordá will strengthen the stable Lotus F1 in 2015. The 26-year-old driver, who has spent recent seasons in the GP3 Series after the European F3 Open and Indy Lights, will be development driver of the teamenstone.

“Joining Lotus F1 Team is like a dream come true, explains Jordá. I have been racing since I was ten years old so it was my dream to drive a Formula 1 car. Joining Lotus F1 Team is a big step towards my goal. I will work to improve as a driver as well as help the team develop the car by testing new developments in the simulator. This is a fantastic opportunity. I know this is just the beginning and a bigger challenge is yet to come, but to already be part of a team with such history is a true honor. »

In addition to her work in the simulator, Carmen Jordá will take the wheel of the E23 on track this season, without Lotus having yet revealed the Spaniard's program.
