Caterham Sports has indicated that Bernie Ecclestone has authorized the team to miss the next two F1 Grands Prix while it finds a new buyer.

Caterham could miss the USA and Brazil

Caterham Sports has just published a new press release indicating that Bernie Ecclestone has authorized the team of the same name to miss the next two events of the F1, the US GP played next week in Austin (Texas) and the Brazilian GP scheduled for November 9. Administrators who took over the helm of Caterham F1 Team specified that the F1 financier had authorized their absence in order to find a new buyer.

“At the end of a telephone conversation between Finbar O'Connell (the administrator in charge of the management of Caterham F1 Team) and Bernie Ecclestone, Mr. Ecclestone gave his support to the administrators in their desire to sell the F1 team to a party with the financial support necessary to maintain its future. Mr Ecclestone has also allowed Caterham F1 to miss upcoming Grands Prix in the USA and Brazil if necessary in the hope that a new buyer will be in a position to race the team for the finale in Abu Dhabi (November 23).", the press release said.
