Caterham finds hope with its collection

Caterham F1 Team did not expect such results. The Leafield team has raised almost half of the funds needed to enter the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix with already one million pounds (1,2 million euros) raised in the space of two days. “The whole team is delighted and excited to have achieved this result in such a short time,” said Caterham Sports administrator Finbarr O’Connell. “I’m not going to pack my bags until this is over because there’s still a lot of funds to be found. But this campaign is going international and I have contacted media organizations around the world since Friday. »

This draft crowdfunding raised some criticism in the world of F1 but had the merit of putting Caterham F1 Team back on the scene. “Even more importantly, potential investors appear interested and considering acquiring the team.”, added Finbarr O'Connell. “This interest completely justifies this project. It will be a great moment when fans of the team can follow the race knowing that they helped put Caterham F1 Team on the grid. There was some confusion with this project but we do not intend to operate an F1 team with crowdfunding but to use this to relaunch the team for a new future. »
