F1 Championship 2024 – Standings after the Azerbaijan Grand Prix

Oscar piastri surprised Charles Leclerc and won the Azerbaijan GP, his second victory of the season and of his career in Formula 1. A very nice day for McLaren who, in addition to the victory, takes the lead in the Constructors' championship... and gets closer to the Drivers' championship with Lando NorrisThe Briton, who started 15th, managed the feat of finishing ahead Max Verstappen to take back three additional points.
Race results: the lead of leader Max Verstappen (313 points) falls below the 60-point mark ahead of Lando Norris (254 points). Although he was beaten by Oscar Piastri (222 points), Charles Leclerc (235 points) is still in contact with the leading duo, but he sees the winner of the day come back to 13 points behind him. Thanks to his podium, George Russell climbs back to 7th place in the championship, tied on points with Sergio Pérez. And so, in the Constructors' category and for the first time since the 2014 Australian Grand Prix, McLaren is leading the championship! The Papayas are first with a 20-point lead over Red Bull and 51 units ahead of Ferrari. Thanks to their double arrival in the points, Williams climbs to 8th place ahead of Alpine.

Well, complicated in the end for the cans at the Constructors level with 3 teams in the match, but Red Bull Racing and Max le Batave should succeed by playing the grocers a little with 3 other teams also sharing the big points!
