Engine and gearbox change for Vettel
The disaster qualifications for Sebastian Vettel in Singapore, after a suspension problem, will offer the Italian team the opportunity to install new elements on the Power Unit V6 turbo / hybrid.
The thermal engine, the turbo and the MGU-H will thus be replaced on the SF16-H n°5, Ferrari each time using a sixth copy.
In addition to the modifications made to the engine, the Scuderia will change the gearbox of the car of the German pilot. Already last on the starting grid, Vettel will not be “penalized” by these replacements.
