Charles Leclerc confirmed at Ferrari

La Team Ferrari is shaking the canvas this morning. Shortly after announcing the departure of Kimi Räikkönen at the end of the 2018 season, Sauber confirmed the arrival of the 2007 world champion for two seasons.

It is now Charles Leclerc which is confirmed by the Prancing Horse. The Italian team did not elaborate on the press release, contenting itself with announcing the presence of the Monegasque who has only one full season with Sauber F1 Team. The 20-year-old rookie will thus reverse his steering wheel with Kimi Räikkönen.

After his titles won as a rookie in GP3 Series with ART GP and in F2 with Prema, Charles Leclerc distinguished himself at Sauber by finishing in the Top 4 10 times. His best result to date is a 6th place taken at the Azerbaijan GP in the streets of Baku.

Discover our file on the departure of Kimi Räikkönen and the arrival of Charles Leclerc in AUTO issue 2182hebdo, available now in digital version on all platforms, and on newsstands this Wednesday.
