Charles Leclerc at the forefront with Ferrari at the Abu Dhabi tests

At the end of a smooth morning on the track, Scuderia Ferrari continues the morning at the Pirelli tire tests in Abu Dhabi. For his official debut in the shoes of a driver holding Maranello, Charles Leclerc took over perfectly Sebastian Vettel, author of the chronometric reference yesterday on the Yas Marina Circuit.

The Monegasque is currently in the lead in 1’36”450, almost four tenths better than the German driver. Pierre Gasly (Red Bull) is currently in second place, more than half a second behind, but the times still remain subject to the type of rubber used by the drivers, and which Pirelli will communicate at the end of the day.

Lance stroll, aligned in the Racing Point Force India colors, his probable team for 2019, follows in third position and precedes Valtteri Bottas (Mercedes), the most diligent on the track with more than 75 laps covered, Artem Markelov (Renault), and Daniil Kvyat, officially back with Toro Rosso.

Louis Deletraz made his debut in F1 with Haas F1 Team, in the wake of Pietro Fittipaldi, and completed the first hours of running in seventh position ahead of Carlos Sainz, who now officiates for McLaren, Antonio Giovinazzi (Sauber) and Robert Kubica (Williams).
