Charles Leclerc: “I simply lost the car”

After the terrible Belgian race, the Team Ferrari suffered another setback this Sunday on its Monza grounds. One year after the triumph of Charles Leclerc in front of a delirious crowd, the Monegasque saw his race end prematurely following an impressive off-track exit in the Parabolic, an accident which caused a red flag.

After going to the medical center for check-ups, Leclerc was released by doctors. “I simply lost the car, admits the ex-Sauber driver at the microphone of Canal +. You don't have to look much further than that.

It was a very complicated race: during the first part we had a lot of balance problems, and then on the hard tires it was again difficult with oversteer on entry, a lot of understeer in the middle of the corner and a lot of oversteer on exit. This is how I couldn't catch up with the car when I lost the rear at the Parabolique. »

A lackluster end for the Maranello team, which had already lost Sebastian Vettel earlier in the event, following a brake problem.
