Charles Leclerc more ambitious than ever for the title?

Given the dynamics of the end of the 2024 season, all the tifosi want to believe it. However, a new campaign is starting and with it all the uncertainty. Where will it be Ferrari compared to last year? Will she be able to compete from the start? Will she be a contender for the title(s)?

For the moment, it is still too early to answer all these questions. Nevertheless, as they have always shown, the Scuderia supporters dream of the return to the top of their favorite team. This year could finally be the right one as the Reds will once again rely on their spearhead for several campaigns, Charles Leclerc, and on the whole experience of neo-rosso Lewis Hamilton.

First laps… and first good feelings?

The day after the joint event with the other 9 teams on the grid in London, Ferrari officially launched its SF-25. As is tradition, a debugging session was held at the Fiorano circuit where Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton were able to get a first taste of their weapon for this 2025 season.

A limited run that serves more as publicity and to check all the car's procedures than to really see its performance. For that, we will have to wait for the pre-season tests in Bahrain in a few days (February 26-28). Nevertheless, the first feelings have clearly been good on Fiorano's side. To the point of already being very optimistic for the future?

« We had no bad surprises, either in terms of sensations or figures that we did not expect., explained Charles Leclerc to Sky Sport F1. The feeling was still good. It's good to stop here on a day like today. I would be disappointed if we didn't win one of the two world championships. »

A first ride behind the wheel of the SF-25 that seems to have given the Monegasque a lot of confidence in view of this new exercise. And as it approaches, Leclerc, without going too far, wants to put all the chances on his side as he feels that 2025 could be a very important year in his career.

« Of course, it's very early, he tempers. If we have a car that can consistently fight at the front, I think [that I can be competitive]. But I feel like it's going to be a very tight season. If that's the case, I see a lot of contenders for the title. But of course, I believe in myself and I think I have the qualities to do it.. » That is not lacking in ambition.
