Ferrari maximized points by finishing third and fourth behind Mercedes untouchable, but not everything went as planned on the side of the Team.

After the arrival of the Grand Prix, Charles Leclerc was rather virulent on the radio: " I did my job, as always, but being nice gets me in trouble every time. Every time. It's not even about being nice, but respectful. I don't know I'm supposed to say anything, but it's always the same! »

An explosive diatribe that his race engineer, Bryan Bozzi, was unable to stop despite his efforts.

The reason for this anger seems to be on the 31st lap of the race. As he was leaving the pit lane following his second stop, Leclerc was informed on the radio that his teammate, who had already made his second stop, had been ordered not to put the Monegasque under pressure.

Problem: The Madrilenian immediately overtook the car No. 16. Leclerc then said to his engineer that he should perhaps try to speak to Sainz in Spanish.

Fourth at the finish line, behind his teammate, Leclerc spoke about this situation to Sky Sports:

"CIt's just a bit of frustration, it's not a big deal. Whenever there's this kind of frustration, nobody has the context and I don't need to go into the details of everything that's being discussed, so I won't go any further in this discussion. It's frustrating, yes, but it doesn't change anything for the team. It's frustrating for the drivers' championship, a second place is always nice, but in the end it's good. »

Ferrari will go to Qatar 24 points behind McLaren and 29 ahead of Red Bull. If the Drivers' Championship was played out in the streets of Las Vegas, everything remains to be played out among the manufacturers.

Sainz has nothing left to lose, unfortunately it was to be expected, especially since he is probably not going to see the podium again from next year. A driver who believes he is protected by non-aggression instructions is an easy victim, remember Pironi-Villeneuve, Prost-Senna, Vettel-Webber and others. The resentment that results from this has sometimes had dramatic consequences or at least very unsportsmanlike ones.

Not the first time that the Smooth Operator has not followed the instructions, which does not help Leclerc for the title of vice-world champion! It seems time for him to leave the Scuderia
