Charles Pic optimistic for Silverstone

Charles Pic avoided the pitfalls at the European Grand Prix to grab 15th place. The Frenchman, who matched his performance obtained in Melbourne, will arrive with confidence at Silverstone where he had already won in Formula Renault 3.5 Series in 2009. On a circuit he likes, the Marussia driver will have new developments on its MR01 and intends to prove their effectiveness on the grounds of the Banbury factory where the team is based.

“I always thought Silverstone was an incredible circuit”, comments Charles Pic. “I love the fantastic corners at Copse, Becketts and Stowe. I can't wait to see how the new aero package performs on the track. This is quite significant progress for the team and marks the result of a great effort. I'm optimistic we'll have a good weekend as it's the only time our Banbury-based team staff will be able to see the cars in action. It would be nice to offer them a nice reward for their dedication. It's also good news that Timo (Glock) will be back with us next weekend. »
