Will Charles Pic continue to defend the colors of Caterham F1 Team next year? Nothing is less certain following the statements of the Frenchman who took part in the drivers' press conference in the paddock of the Brazilian Grand Prix. After starting at Marussia, the French driver joined the rival team at the end of the last season with a contract for several years. But time changes quickly in F1 and the Malaysian team could have to change its line-up in 2014.
“For next year, logic would dictate that I stay at Caterham, but I’m not sure”, commented Charles Pic, whose best result of the season remains a 14th place achieved at Sepang and Yeongam. “I think there are still plenty of shuttlecocks available for next year. It's like this every year. We try to concentrate on the races and do our best on the weekends. I'm already trying to get a good result for the team and then we'll see what happens next year. »
Caterham F1 Team has just one race left to try to regain tenth place from Marussia who took the lead with Jules Bianchi's 13th place finish at the Malaysian Grand Prix. The pressure is definitely on, with the BBC having indicated that the Malaysian team is interested in Marcus Ericsson. The 23-year-old Swede took seventh place in the Championship with Dams for his fourth consecutive season in GP2.
