If the American manufacturer remains one of the most notable engine manufacturers in F1 today, it is largely thanks to an agreement with the tuner Cosworth, which will give rise to an outrageous domination of almost 20 years.

We may be among the largest manufacturers in the world, but memory can be faulty. The documents sent by Ford to accompany the officialization of the brand's return to the Oval in 2026 were in fact full of approximations and arrangements with reality.

Contrary to what is written in the press release, Ford did not put a first foot "in F1 in 1967”, no more than she “won a remarkable 174 Grands Prix”. At least, not alone. What the communications department of the Detroit giant readily forgets is the weight of a British trainer with an indelible mark on the history of sport: Cosworth.

If Ford can indeed boast of having propelled 13 drivers to the world title and of having been crowned among the Manufacturers

Inaccuracies from Ford... but also from AutoHebdo: "The title won at the end of 1966 by Jack Brabham with a 8 horsepower Rapco V350 can only reassure Keith Duckworth in his choice." It's a Repco V8!!
