At the end of the test session that brought together Charles and Arthur Leclerc on the track during Free Practice 1 of the 2024 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix at Ferrari, last December, the little brother granted us a joint interview with the eldest of the siblings, Lorenzo Tolotta-Leclerc. The opportunity for the two brothers to look back on this historic moment and to talk about their beautiful brotherly relationship.

At what point did you realize that Charles would be the successful driver we know today?

Lorenzo: He was lucky enough to start very early on karting, at the age of 5. He did races, where he found himself with drivers like Pierre Gasly et Esteban Ocon. It was impossible to know at the time that the level of this generation was so high, but we saw right away that he was playing to win every weekend. There was also an important decision in his career: that of his dropping out of school in the second grade. At that point, we knew that he had a high enough level to become a professional pilot and live off his passion.
