These two victories and an additional podium in the last three Grands Prix are perhaps the trees that hide the forest. Certainly Lewis Hamilton took his time and eventually managed to raise the bar. But before this great dynamic, the seven-time world champion went through a big void.
There was Abu Dhabi 2021 and this controversial final against Max Verstappen. An event which inevitably marked the Briton. Afterwards, Mercedes poorly managed the transition to the new regulations and took time to regain the lead. If his teammate George Russell managed to win in 2022, Sir Lewis did not have this success. A crossing of the desert which ended on July 7 at his home in Silverstone. As a symbol for those who recognize having “struggled mentally” in recent years.

These last three years have served Lewis Hamilton to reinvent himself. In a period as difficult as this, the Englishman learned to review his way of working, improving his communication, making him a “better” teammate.

I probably learned to be a better teammate during this time, because we had more time to focus on communication. » A work, which almost three years later, seems to be starting to bear fruit given its recent level.
