Coronavirus: Buddh circuit converted into quarantine site

India used the Buddh International Circuit which hosted the F1 between 2011 and 2013 as a place of quarantine to fight against the coronavirus. The structure usually dedicated to motorsport will welcome people coming from Delhi as the country launched containment measures from Wednesday March 25 to Tuesday April 14.

Local authorities hope to accommodate 5000 people within the circuit.

With more than a billion inhabitants, India is closely monitoring the spread of Covid-19 as the country has more than 1200 cases with already 32 people dead.
