McLaren announced that its quarantined staff had tested negative for coronavirus. The infected member no longer has symptoms of the disease.

Coronavirus: reassuring news for McLaren

Here is some reassuring news from McLaren. The Woking stable indicated in a press release that the 16 members of its staff placed in quarantine in Melbourne (Australia) had not been contaminated by the coronavirus based on the tests carried out.

Staff had been placed under close surveillance after a team member tested positive hours before the first practice for the Australian GP. There F1 had to cancel the Grand Prix at the Albert Park circuit at the last minute. The infected person now no longer has symptoms of the disease.

The members of McLaren placed in quarantine must nevertheless still be patient since they will remain isolated for another week as a precautionary measure.
