Cosworth is running at full speed

The 8 Cosworth CA V2010 powered the single-seaters of three teams which took part in the winter tests, namely Williams, Lotus Racing and Virgin Racing. Highlight of these tests for the British engine manufacturer: The best time achieved by Nico Hulkenberg at the end of the day last Friday, it is true, certainly with a low fuel tank and very soft tires, the German thereby setting the fifth time of this week in Barcelona.

Cosworth engineers now continue to work closely with the teams equipped with the 8 CA V2010 in order to be ready for the start of the opening round of the XNUMX World Championship. Formula 1 in 12 days now.

“The Barcelona tests concluded our winter tests in a very good way, our objectives were achieved, the emphasis having been placed on reliability and working relationships with each of the teams that we power, says Mark Gallagher, Managing Director of the F1 department. These last few weeks have been crucial for us and our return to the circuits is off to a very positive start. Obviously there is still work to be done, and we are preparing for long days of work with our partner teams in Bahrain. »

A positive observation shared by the Technical Director of the Williams team, Sam Michael:

“Cosworth has done a remarkable job to provide us with a ready engine for the four winter testing sessions. It's been a busy schedule for everyone, but Cosworth has done very well so far, giving us everything we need. We are fully satisfied with their performance and the work done to best integrate their V8 into the chassis. Their work is remarkable. »

It now remains to be confirmed in the race in less than two weeks, and with a fourth team, the Hispania Racing F1 Team of José Ramon Carabente.
